Why NOT to buy the iPad 2.0

Because the iPad 2.0 has the features it has: DO NOT BUY IT.   Yes Apple has a new iPad with new features, but now is not the time to buy.  First of all Apple had no competition when it released the first iPad.  At this point in time Apple's competition is still not even close.  Apple had 84% of the sales of tablets last year.  While this number is going down, with the release of the iPad 2.0, the sales will once again favor Apple.  As of right now Apple only needs to hold its own.  It does not need to make a spectacular iPad 2.0.  The iPad upgrade is similar to the MacBook Pro upgrade (mostly an upgrade in processor and nothing really interesting).  Apple upgraded the processor and the RAM, and added two cameras.  Honestly it is not worth $500 or more to upgrade a system that works fine already.  The only other upgrade Apple made is slimming down the iPad and adding an option for another color.  There is a very good chance that Apple will release another iPad around September.  If they do this think of all of the new features they might be able to include:  Retina display screen, another processor and RAM upgrade, SD slot, replacing the home screen button with mulit-gestures, a thunderbolt port (which by that time will have a wide selection of products and will allow the iPad to connect to you TV, monitor, printer, external hard drive, ect.), and even more apps designed specifically for the newer version of the iPad.  This makes sense because Apple needs a new iPad now to keep up with the tablet market, but with an even newer version of the iPad in September, they will be able to sell the iPad as a Christmas gift.  This sequence makes sense for Apple, however it is horrible for all the people who buy an iPad 2.0 now.  So do not buy an iPad 2.0.

Apple has just come out with a new MacBook Pro.  While Apple upgraded the processor for the laptops, they also added a new type of port.  The Thunderbolt port will be able to connect to both external displays and everything that a USB port can connect to.  It will be twenty times faster than a normal USB 2.0 port, twelve times faster than FireWire 800, and two times faster than USB 3.0.  While currently there are almost no devices that use the port, the two major external hard drive companies, Seagate Technology and Western Digital, plan to make devices that support the new port.  Another advantage of the new port is that it provides 10 watts of power which is new for a laptop.  The port is able to transfer a full HD movie in 30 seconds and in ten minutes transfer enough mp3 songs to play nonstop for a year.

Laptops of the Future

While there are some amazing laptops that can be bought in you local store, laptops are continuing to improve.  In the future laptops will be extremely thin and have dual screens.  Here is a look at some of the best looking prototypes of the future.
This laptop is from Anna Lopez, and seems a little dangerous to me, but looks cool non the less.
This laptop comes from hp and seems to have dual touch screens. 
V12 Design created this particular laptop.  It also has dual touch screens.
This laptop was design by Intel and Ziba Design and is only .7 inches thick.

This laptop was designed solely on what people want to see in laptops.  It would use holographic technology to make a piece of glass into a screen.   It was designed
by Eno Setiawan.

Hydrogen Car

Who wants to save money on gas?Who wants to save the environment?    Who wants to kill two birds with one stone?  Hydrogen cars could be the future.  They could be the perfect way to both save the environment and save the pocketbook.  Unfortunately there is no real option to buy a hydrogen car at this point in time.  And even after they do come out they will be expensive and it will be difficult to find fuel.  However, there are solutions to these problems.

The first problem is the fact that no one owns a hydrogen car, and no one can just go out and buy one.  Even if we could buy a hydrogen car they would be absurdly expensive.  Luckily all is not lost.  A normal car has the capability to use hydrogen as the fuel.  While it requires a few changes ( mostly making the engine water proof), it is possible to make your everyday car run on hydrogen as well as gas.  Of course this fact is no secret and has been around for some time.

Now we come to our second problem: how to fuel our hydrogen car.  We could hire some large gas company to sell everyone hydrogen, but  that is not going to happen for quite a few years.  Some people think that we can just break water into hydrogen and oxygen using electricity.  While we can obtain oxygen though this method, it will require extra electricity and is not efficient.  Fortunately there is a way to obtain hydrogen from the least likely place: waste.  Researchers at Penn State found a type of bacteria that in certain conditions is able to create hydrogen from garbage. Using this method we would be able to create hydrogen efficiently and will little energy.  The amount of energy needed to create the hydrogen is important because if it is small enough (as with the bacteria method) it is possible to create the hydrogen inside the car. If the hydrogen is created inside the car, then there is no need to store the hydrogen (how to store hydrogen is one of the biggest problems using hydrogen has a fuel has). 

All of the problems have been solved.  All we need to do is put these ideas into practical use.  Just imagine never buying gas again.  We have the technology.  All we need to do is put it into place.
