Two galaxies colliding 300 million light-years from Earth

Good morning. It's November 14, and today's photograph is drop-dead gorgeous. It features an astronomical feature known as Arp 273—so named because it was part of an atlas of peculiar galaxies compiled by American astronomer Halton Arp six decades ago.
In this case, Arp 273 is not one but two galaxies located about 300 million light-years from Earth. The two spiral galaxies are in the process of interacting with one another, and astronomers using the Hubble Space Telescope believe the distinct signs of intense star formation in the nucleus of the smaller galaxy were probably triggered by the encounter with the larger one.

Snapchat and NYX launch new beauty filter that's also a stealth shopping tool
Snapchat just launched a new AR makeup filter that links to products that users can buy to recreate their looks in the real world. It's a partnership with cosmetics brand NYX Professional Makeup that they're calling it Beauty Bestie.
AR beauty filters are nothing new, but Snapchat and NYX have turned this filter into a marketing tool for products consumers would typically find in a local pharmacy. With struggling pharmacy chains shutting down a lot of locations lately, this is one way NYX might be able to nab more customers online.

Foxconn reports Q3 revenue down 12% YoY to ~$47.7B
Foxconn, the manufacturer of iPhones, has reported a 12% year-on-year decrease in Q3 revenue, down to approximately $47.7 billion. However, net income was up 11% year-on-year to around $1.3 billion. The company also lowered the outlook for its components business to flat year-on-year.
