Russian Luna 25 Spacecraft Crashes into the Moon
Russia's Luna 25 spacecraft, which was the country's first attempt to return to the Moon since 1976, has crashed into the lunar surface. The failure occurred during a burn of the vehicle's propulsion system, causing an "emergency situation" on board. The Russian space corporation Roscosmos has confirmed the loss and will be forming an interdepartmental commission to investigate the mishap.
